Looking for a set for my 848 and have noticed there's a vast array of different priced levers out there. Has anyone found good quality at a decent price? Pictures appreciated! Cheers,
+1 on the ASV's, i had a set on mine before i changed the whole brake & clutch assembly to RCS master cylinders (sold the ASV levers to a mate, sorry!) Best price i got was from Moto-Rapido, who quoted list price less about 15% discount.
I used to sell Pazzo's and CRG's and never had any problems with them but there are many other brands out there now like the SV's which are nice. I was also importing folding levers from TWM in Italy and they were great for the price, top quality. - twm-sc I personally have a pair of £25 chinese levers that are identical to Pazzo's, some people will say that they are not great quality but maybe it depends on who you get them from. Mine are spot on and for £25 are a bargain.

[HR][/HR] Ask Nelson what he did for the QA throttle, if I remember he used a Yamaha ha R1 tube which was a direct replacement and about 15 quid instead of a 100 notes. He even posted the part number etc on that 'other' forum. Anth
The idea of a folding lever is that they dont break so a quality lever should be better than a cheap one.
I got the impression that the R1 throttle wasn't that much of a change and the 04 R6 was maybe to much on or off, the 749 has a. Very long throttle maybe 100 deg,the accossato has a progressive 75 deg. Iether way they were all ordered last week being fitted along with belts and service at Cornerspeed . Is Nelly on here yet??
The 04 yamaha throttle was the one to get either r1 or r6 the later year 05/06 r1 got a slightly slower one but I believe the r6 throttle remained the same.
But in the real world, they do break, or at the very least, they get scratched/damaged and look tatty. I'm speaking from experience of course having just replaced a £70 broken folding lever!
Maybe the do break but from 20 years of 70s/80s club racing and 35 years of road riding they break a lot less than none folding levers and a scratched lever is better than a broken lever . Only from my experience of course.
They all look good - I've seen the Pazzo's on Anth's bike and theyr'e beautiful, but all around £80 each. Ian, if you used to sell them you should know, and you are using the £25 Chinese copies - where did you get them?
I am an agent for Pazzo but they were complaining when I was discounting them for other forum members so I started supplying TMW levers and fuel caps. I 'think' they were around £110 a pair the last time I got them but they may have gone up since then. The Black regular length with the red adjusters look best in my opinion. You will be amazed how nice they are for the price. Mine even came in a cloth pouch.
I got mine from the same seller, but opted for the extendable ones for my 999s: As IanG said - the quality is amazing given the price. They look top notch. Adjustability is good and the lever action is very slick; no complaints whatsoever. cheers, Dom
