I was told 2 weeks from order. I know it was mentioned in an earlier post that whatever they say double it. Even if you double it it's not bad.
I understand no one has stock. They told me May at the moment. I'm still not 100% decided. Having had a good ride today too I think this has to be the best bike I've ever had for the roads. I really love my 848 EC SE so it'd have to be right offer for me to change
I know a dealer that has 3 899's for sale. Three red ones that is. Let me know if you want details El Toro.
Not sure if Duc do that or not. I can't see why they wouldn't to be honest. Except for maybe because there aren't many about at the moment Dealers might not want to play ball with each other. Who knows?
Think Snells and Rapido may have stock, or lots of sold bikes if not. And dealers I think are more reluctant to swap stock than in the car trade...end of the day they are competing with each other, not in the same group and the stock is theirs, notDucati's
Had a nice chat with the guys at Snell today . First time I have seen a white one in the flesh and although I liked it I'm strongly leaning towards the red. In fact I'm almost certain that red is the one for me! One thing I noticed was that the venture shielding that they had on both a red and white one, is virtually invisible on the red bike but a lot more visible on the white. Not to the point of it being a real issue though. Customer service at Snells is really very good. Cheers guys.
Their white 899 former demo is now for sale. They have a nice red one for demos now. Give them a call El Toro they are super helpful. Just a little add on for El Toro, They do indeed trade through the dealer network.
TBH I'm undecided. My 848 EC SE is fantastic. I've had and I'm still having such fun riding it. It does everything perfectly. And it is in stunning condition and stunning to look at (IMO). It is possibly the best ever road bike on the market (obviously I can't talk about the 899 as I've not ridden one). It certainly the best road bike I have ridden and I'd need a good offer on it to make me part with it.
I doubt you will get a good offer from the dealer el tel. They are selling the 899's with ease. Bung the 848 in the classifieds and see if you get any tugs. In the meantime go cock your leg over an 899. If you no likey, then simply pull the ad. I am great at spending other peoples cash. If you are loaded like el tel then you should ALWAYS have the latest model.
TBH I've had a decent offer from Ducati Manchester. If I could squeeze some more out of it then I could be tempted. I'm also curious to see if Ducati launch an 899s/r/tric/EC or some such.
I would imagine something will appear terry at some point similar to the 1199 progress. Ohlins etc, S version. I also imagine they could be a couple of grand more expensive too. 15k?
