she was on her phone as he rode down the road, she pulled out on him doing 85mph, rider, driver and passenger killed instantly
I have seen these pics a long time ago, they certainly aren't recent. Looking at them though, some things don't add up. Where did the right side car door end up, surely the bike would have pushed it into the car, the 'evidence' doesn't show it. Secondly how did they get all the bodyparts out of the car? Did they leave the bike stuck in there, then put it back? Why has the windscreen been pushed downwards? Why is there so much damage to the back of the car too? Wouldn't the first thing to do to get all the bits out be to take the roof off and roll it up and back? The pictures tell a story, but not all of it. Its probably not for me to call it faked, but something isn't quite right. Any firemen/cops/accident investigators out there care to comment?
I took the pics of a print out at the MT Pl at work. every yr we get a drunk drivers car who crashed (real) brought to work at xmas time as a reminder just as we leave work. we also have an oppertunity to chat to the officers when they bring it in. ud be amazed at the stories and the total devastation of some of the wreaks. I mean shocking. hate to say but looking at hte state of these cars u gotta laugh-made thing is some folks survive. seen one that left the rode at 90 so they estimate, hit a tree on the door and the car folded around it. In response; the investigators remove what ever they need after the doc/fire have done their bit-in cases like this when everyone is cut apart thers no need to waste time cutting apart the car. just remove all the pieces. but like with the cars on show for us they are cleaned up and taken to places to dwarn what may happen if you drink and drive. as for the door missing? doubt much was left. yes they would of re-inserted the bike, and a bike hitting a small car at over 80 could easy role it, judging by the accounts of the police and drink drive vids iv had to sit through in lectures. Just watch 5 Gear when they crash remote controlled cars(real motorcars) into others with dummies inside and slo-mo cameras in and ul get an idea of how bodies/cars/objects move around and end up in all kinds of crazy places. moral of the story is watch that juction and the driver on their phone:frown:
the car landed on its roof, I read it all before and a google search got this Motorcycle Inside Volkswagen Accident Photographs
umm, phone or no phone-pretty brutal. Having had a head on at 60 and a women pull out of traffic on me and losing the front on gravel at a round-a-bout and almost going under a car and some other prangs, this is one I dont fancy
They where a publicity stunt. It was to raise awareness in the USA I believe and have been about for years If it scares drivers into getting off phones while driving all good I think!
I can think of two. I saw this about two years ago and the story at that time was that it happened in Sweden or some such place and the rider was doing 180 mph and the Golf pulled out of a junction! Shock tactics - surely not I guess it's been 'doctored' for public consumption whatever the truth - not pretty
probably summed up as; golf pulls out on bike. careful when filtering at junctions and slow down at known black spots and dont assume the car driver has seen you....ever
Shock tactics are good though, I am terrified of getting stuck on railway crossings because of the shock tactic adverts, so let's hope people are shocked and get off the phone.
Might the moral of the story be "don't ride at 150Mph towards blind junctions" The biker was at least as responsible for the tragedy as the Golf driver.
Its happened to me doing 20mph. granted this dude was speeding but then several people say they have seen the pics elsewhere and with different speeds. Its a honda rvf/vfr and if its the 400 it cant do that speed. yes it makes no odds-its not about right and wrong just about look what could of happened every time we have had that `close shave` and look as far down the road as poss and expect the worse
