  1. Hope you all have a good day and that FE have changed since the last TD i did with them at oulton proir to a DD race in 2009..
    Not used them since

  2. I've booked a dry day for this one so we'll be ok.so how many are going then?wonder who the guest riders are.see you all there.

  3. FE by far the worst TD organisers in the UK it's just the attitude they have thinking their doing us a favour, like others have said I wouldn't go on that basis, but I hope it's a good day for those going.

  4. A friend of mine went donington a few weeks ago with Fe and he counted 68 bikes lining up for the novice group and he said a few bikes filtered out after that!!!
I've also heard of them noise testing a 916 at 7,000rpm recently and not letting the fella out as the bike was to loud!!
I really hope it is a good day for those going but someone needs to take an acu handbook with them to show whoever is noise testing the rev for the appropriate bike and also that the testing equipment is supposed to be a meter away at a 45 degree angle and not next to the exhaust outlet as the twats did to me.
Focused.....get some people in who know what they're doing as you have a terrible name throughout motorcycling.......not that the bloke in charge cares as he has a bit of a god complex.
Good luck to all doing it
    :)

  5. Isnt it he circuit that does the testing?

Cadwell in th rain; whete better  Lol

  6. To be fair Donny has a noise meter on the gantry on the start/finish straight unless it's changed so I doubt they would do static tests?

  7.
  8. I have never had any issues with FE, I did one with Easy track not so long back fast group out 1st for sighting laps then after 2 laps the session kicked in this better use of time gave us 7 sessions rather than the usual 6.

  9. To be fair to FE the noise testing is usually dictated to them by the circuits. They are trying just as hard to educate the tracks as most are set up for cars so dont really know how to test a bike properly.

  10. Any picture from this?

  11. 68 bikes is to many for the novice group or any group ,I did a 20 minute taster in a novice group at Dono and was very worried by the number of bikes ,it must have been 50 and rightfully so ,it turned out 50% weren't novices and when you are a novice it's very unsettling when 30 bikes fly past you on both sides, when you touch your brakes going into a corner.

  12. There is No static noise testing at donnington its a drive by test on the clock gantry

Tip of the day !! Don't touch your brakes going into the corner lol

  14. Donny is a big track tho so while 60 sounds a lot it probably isn that bad. Is a busy full day so likely some will be in wrong group but its all Ducati remember so will be much better imho than any other trackday you may attend. In my experience Ducati days are also normally a little slower, pride and joy and all that

  15. I'm assuming that riding along to watch only wont be a problem?

  16. No mate shouldn't be a problem at all....

  17. Not till the evening of the 31st at the earliest i'd guess

  18. Went to book this, only to find it's full
Was procrastinating too long weather watching... snoozed.... losed..... :frown:

  19. I have to agree I was very novice with the instructor disappearing leaving me wondering if I was on the right line with bikes passing either side
I ended up going back into the paddock rather upset
Second time out was much better
This was on the ducatisti track day Pembry

  20. 68 round pembrey would be way much!,
