A milestone this morning

  1. Well, my 2002 ST4s rolled over 51k miles this morning, which means 40,000 in my stewardship.

I've had it since February of 2008, so that's an average of just 6,666 miles year. However, I do use it as my primary transport, all year round.

I'd expect to keep it for at least two more years, despite the fact that it's the longest I've ever kept a bike and by far the largest number of miles I've ever done on one.

My next plan is to put carbon sleeves on my OEM Remus "not for road use" alu cans.

  8. "Buy em to ride em".

Totally agree on that one. My poor old brother works a 70hr week and hardly ever gets to ride out, and owns three bikes. Lucky for me he lets me ride his bikes, which is great, as I get a choice of old, new and classic riding.
