1098 r bayliss opinions please

  1. Look forward to hearing of your investigations. I got this info first hand from the guys at MotoRapido who ran the 1098Rs for Ducati, and the chap there who recently rebuilt my gearbox (there was nothing wrong with it, just had the whole thing superfinished and ceramic rumbled over the winter - it's now buttery smooth!)
     
  2. I don't doubt what you say. I'm just curious to confirm it. And where do you get those ceramic rumbly things?

  3. Just sharing the info advised to me from MR as the rumour was not the first time I've heard it, but it has never been substantiated by anyone!

    MotoRapido did the rumbling, and I can vouch that it really yields fantastic results noticeable every time you change gear.

    I would've certainly been avoiding the early bikes on the grounds of the "weaker" box.
