I'm really happy with it - no complaints from me. I think that Parrish is great - a really likeable character who knows what he's talking about. Mel Sykes needs a few more weeks to fully get into it, but she's only on for the front of house stuff. They had some great insights, especially from Ben Spies, and Neil Hodgson is excellent.
Parrish knows his stuff and is just as excitable as Heuwen. I would bet that Spies was just doing some work in Texas because he lives there and its highly unlikely we'll hear from him until Indy. BT are doing a good job IMO. We're only two races in and their coverage has been excellent as they're treating it like Sky do F1
I thought Spies comments were really good, some great insight and at least a very modern take on why riders take the lines they do and how the engines, tyres and electronics act as they do. I say keep him on board if they can
Stick Parrish in the box and sack Ryder. I reckon Parrish and Heuwen would bounce off each other quite well. And if Sykesy is there just for the eye candy, ditch her and get Kelly Brook in (Pinder and Marsh can do the pit lane run...).
do we really need eye candy? surely the sport can survive / thrive without it. would anyone stop watching if the women were not there? I doubt it. It's ok I get it, I do know why it's done, it's the same silly 1 track mind nonsense as grid girls and models at bike shows, just proves BT has little capacity for advanced thinking in this area.
So how would you advance it? Personally, I'm a fan of a well turned out filly, and a racing fan, so it's all working out quite well for me. Making it free would improve things, though...
Melanie Sykes may know bugger all about the sport but she's easy in the eye. And I'd bang her from ear hole to arse hole every day of the week
Correct. He'll be back for future races. I'm still in Texas so didn't see MotoGP Tonight on Tuesday but he was due to be on the programme.
well I'd like to think that having spent god knows how many millions on acquiring the rights I'd have done more in depth research of the subject of world class motorcycle racing and how best to serve and perhaps further that reputation with knowledgeable professional presenters / anchor, rather than adopting the industry fall back position of "lets use some one with tits and a smile, works every time eh lads?, sign up here" (but I agree free might help too)
I wouldn't be too critical of Sykes. She was cautioned for assaulting her husband recently. He is a roofer, so no shrinking violet!
