Sorted and refitted the wiring loom on the CBR. It had been fitted with an immobiliser so I bought a replacement loom, unfortunately the breaker who sold me the loom didn't know his bikes, as the loom supplied was an F3 loom, not an F2. Turned out to be a piece of cake to remove the immobiliser, so I was able to re use my original loom.

Went down to the meet at Giordano services on the rsv4.....peeled off back on the motorway to then go home and get the hyper. Went back into town, parked up, walked around...saw char's streetfighter, very nice....he wasn't standing by it though...cheeky sod...just had a bite to eat....heading back down in a sec...
Got the old vw camper to tick over at idle. But its deffo needs a new carb. Had to turn air screw out 5x instead of 2.5x. Noticed fuel bleeding via throttle butterfly, so that explains why its too rich at 2.5x. Throttle butterfly has worn spindle shaft. So new carb. But at least i know whats up.
Just come back to Oxford via the M4 and Swindon, that's why there were so many Dukes going the other way.

Just back from foodie shopping over the border, with an unfeasible quantity of fish (amongst other things). Best bit was I bumped into Damien, who I haven't seen for more than a decade. He was the mechanic who used to do my bike at the dealers I go to in the back of beyond, and actually now has his own garage 15 mins from me. Result. He may not have a Ducati concession, but he still does loads of Ducatis, so I think I'll be taking my bike to him from now on. Much more convenient and he knows his stuff.
Today we went into Leeds. SWMBO was doing her Thai cookery course that I bought for a Xmas present, and I went for a mosey to Padgetts in Batley then to Ducati Leeds in Shipley I have to say I'm liking the new Diavel more and more I see it. And SWMBO prefers it to the 899 too
Sorting the garage. Bought a rolling tool centre, which is something I have wanted for donkeys years but never had the garage to put it in. Done most of the wiring for new sockets and lights throughout the garage too. All done nice and neat in conduit, upgraded the sockets to RCDs. The lighting should be good when I get it all finished, got 4 x 50W LED units in place and a couple of 10W ones above my work bench area. Still lots to do - painting, rehang the loft joists (properly rather than the bodge the previous owner has done) oh and replace the ladder to the loft as it snapped clean in two while I was coming down after investigating "I wonder if I can make this ladder safer..."

Quite a nice sea of red....went on my RSV4 but Ducati's outnumbered everyone else 5 - 1 I would say....rough guess so when they all left to go down into town I peeled off the other way and went back up the m5 home and got the hyper....I saw one other one all day a matt black 796 and that was it...
I went into Clinton cards today. I said to the woman behind the counter, "Do you sell bereavement cards?" She said, "we certainly do ." "Could I exchange one for this "get well soon" card I bought yesterday?"
