I've just received a Notice of Intended Prosecution through the post for 38mph in a 30 limit. I though the Police had max 14 days from the date of the alleged offence to serve the notice? Is that correct?
My understanding is that they have to contact the registered keeper within 14 days. If that's you, then they haven't done that. My company car is not registered in my name, I could be prosecuted after the 14 days contact rule, as long as they had contacted my company within that time frame. This is just my understandig, I'm no expert. Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP)
If you are the registered keeper they have 14 days. Checkout Redirecting you to www.pepipoo.com... It is an excellent site & really helpful PePiPoo: Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) - UK Motoring Law
is that in your name and home address or company address, or the name of your company with the company address..... what date is on the post mark on the NIP you have received..
