  1. Any recommendations for 1098/848?

Will yr usual blue car gubbins do?

  2. I use Engine-Ice in my 848Evo, and noticed a small drop in normal operating temperature, nothing to get excited about, think it was about 3 degrees.

  3. Having ridden in Spain in 38 degrees last summer i could have done with 3 degree less. Never had an overheatng issue but she did get warm as did my backside in traffic.

I used some rock oil stuff which i had from my MX dayz. Doesn't run any cooler but does the job.

  4. I bought the TPO underseat heat shield kit, which helped reduce the nut-roast going on! It fixes to the upper side of the undertray.

Also slapped some self-adhesive heat-shield material under the actual seat, that helped a lot too.

I thought Engine ice was a gimmick, but it's made a small difference, so was worth the expense in my book.

  5. I hope your putting it in cause you've upgraded to some fancy silicone samco hoses Gaz.

  6. Better off with the Red long life OAT technology coolant rather than standard blue. The red long life lasts for 5 years and uses different technology on the additives. It's better for use when engines have lots of ally and exotic materials. Has less sludge and build up in the rad fins etc.

  7. make sure whatever you use is silicate free or the pump impellors will wear out

  8. Nah - just looking to fill my mongrel beast up ...

  9. Fill it with something cheap first then....just in case it decides to spew it out all over.
