  11. what we need here is another Richard Noble nutter/entrepreneur with a passion/vision - sadly a bit thin on the ground these days

  12. I'll turn one up in my vice................

....although have you ever looked at a Noble car? Much rather have a secondhand TVR (or a TR4) without power steering and IRS.......

  13. Lucky Kaiser was the ozzie bloke that built the merlin bike remember it from I think performance bikes in the 80's

  14. Interesting.... I didn't realise it was a RR Avon. I am gas turbine field service engineer and I come across tons of these in the oil & gas industry. Usually driving gas compressors.

  15. Always loved the Lightning personally, I believe they are banned now from flying. Someone in the UK has one but cannot fly! so he pays an ex Lightning pilot to hack up and down the runway with him in it. Each to his own.

  16. wouldn't mind the last one : ) I have seen most of his yes and I think he did pretty well in getting the project off the ground (NPI) at all considering everything he was going through. He gave a lecture at British Aerospace which I went to with my Dad. Not a long time after that it was all reduced to rubble and now it's a massive housing estate.

  17. Still in service with the South African Airforce.......

  18. Yeah, definitely one of my favorites when playing top trumps all those years back.... I went to watch my son wake boarding in Skegness late last year and saw a Lightning parked up in the distance. I wasn't expecting that!

  19. Umm, is that tongue in cheek?

    Do you mean Thundercity?
