Am holding off booking tunnel right now as wife has put in for hols, if she comes its 1020 if not I'll see you there in the evening as we'll be leaving home about 1530 But would suggest book for 1020 which is available now and 1820 coming back
You need to book in 45 mins before departure, but as Pete says it's not much of an issue. I've pitched up a whole day late before now and still not had to pay extra!
I'm gonna see what my finances are like after Assen, and try to make this. But I won't be able to book owt until then.
That's good to know. I only asked as I see that it's £5 less for 12 o'clock than it is for 10 o'clock. Just wondered, and with the info given may book the 12 o'clock and arrive before 10. It's only a fiver, but every little helps..
And it's only a 10-minute walk across the bridge at Cochem, by the way. No problem being the other side of the river. And if anyone tries to chat up Doris in the bar outside hotel Noss they'll have me to deal with, do I make that clear..?
Well, I just booked a dirt cheap hotel for the Dutch TT, so hopefully I'll have a bit left over, and I know of a dirt cheap hotel in Cochem just round the corner from Noss, so it may well happen...
Mine was dirt cheap - €110 for 3 nights including brekkie! Not sure what my expectations are, but as long as I can sleep somewhere, have a shower in the morning and eat brekkie then I'll be a happy man! We've got a couple of holidays this summer so I have to watch what I spend.
By the way, my suggested route is via the villages of Stavelot and Malmedy, and the road between them is the Masta Straight. This was a famously fast straight on the old long Spa-Francorchamps circuit before it was shortened in 1979. We can ride along the Masta (which is still a public road) and across the Eau Rouge (which is a stream).
id avoid doing the nurburgring on a weekend as I've just done it and its mad as hell , standard scorpion trails slide a lot when warm but apart from that its just insane
I think I still have a 120-mile route round the 'ring that Brendan Kierle wrote down for me. He reckoned him and Andy could do it in under 90 mins
