1199 This Will Be The End Of My Ducati Experience !

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by NickjCool, May 1, 2014.

  1. Well what can I say I was a proud owner of a Ducati 1199 purchased last August 3 months use and x1 service at Ducati Wolverhampton. Stored for winter started and run to temperature regularly and on start up in March 2014 it was leaking coolant below rear cylinder.

7 weeks on and the bike is still sat in shop but to top it all the manager there is not worthy of another penny of my earned cash. I am not going to go into detail but am appalled of the customer service and the excuses that they come out with and stating they are also a customer to Ducati. Bye bye to a gorgeous bike let down by idiots who don't have a clue how to keep custom and reputation. On a plus note the mechanic should run this shop as he is polite and helpful !

A complaint has gone to Ducati.

  2. Unfortunately you're not the first to say that about them. A member here has ordered his next bike from Ducati Manchester because of the crap service he's had from Wolverhampton in the past.

  5. Shame is its not the bike as I expect it to go wrong its mechanical innovation, how you are treated is what helps heal the disappointment. I would keep it but I wont be now.

  6. I will private message him as I wont publicise this fully as my bike will never be returned.

  7. Thanks though for the heads up.

  8. No problem. There is no excuse for shit service when you're paying big bucks like you have.

  9. Apparently it should not be judged on what you spend. As we all know you buy a BMW do you get the same service you do from Kia.... Doh I don't think so ! Some of the worst analogy's ever quoted from them. Do BMW franchises tell you they are the customer to BMW also and are in the same boat - No they don't,

  10. All I can say is if you want to manage a shop go and do a qualification in some form of management and hospitality it will go a long way. My rant over !
    :)

  13. Best one was my 1198s had BST Carbon Wheels was offered 7 grand for bike as it had inferior wheels that are unsafe and not tested properly for road. Sold it 2 weeks later for 11500. TUV testing is higher than most wheels and each wheel xrayed !

  14. so will you get your bike back? or your money back?

  15. I feel you pain. What a horrible way to be treated. Makes the bike breaking down all the more annoying. Not sure what to suggest, but if you need some help, you have lots of friends on here. Tim is a good man. Very open and very very keen to help the UK customer base

  16. Perhaps a nice Honda, Sir..?

  17. sale of goods act perhaps?

  19. Just to add a bit of balance , I purchased my 848 from wolves and it went without issue. I paid over he phone , and bike was delivered without issue. Couldn't of been easier.

My monster was purchased from Manchester , and I had lots of problems and lies. However this was down to one individual and once I contacted the DP and forwarded the emails I had , all was sorted.

Tim from Ducati uk is a good guy and helped me sort problems in the past.
