Anyone going to to Hastings on Monday 1st May (Bank holiday). Fancy meeting up early at Box Hill or Chalet for a trundle down? 40,000+ bikes last year.... Sunny...great food...lovely town. ** AVOID A21 ** Stay legal at all times, assume that you've a camera police bike with you for the whole trip. Loads got done last year for white line offences and speeding, despite the warning signs saying "white line offences being caught on film" on nearly every bend and roundabout. Suggest A24 to A272 then B2096 or come in on the A271... your thoughts please.

I'm planning on going but find half the fun is riding down "with the masses". Have to be careful as even with the massive Police presence some people just have top prove they're complete dicks. I meet friends in Hastings, ride up to Flimwell for coffee and back down again. Won't do the Hastings town centre bit after last year but branch off onto the A2102 (London Road) and park up near the pier (or what's left of it!!). If the weather's good and Goodwood Breakfast goes OK on Sunday I'll take the 851, otherwise it'll be the Honda.....am I allowed to say Honda?
Done it a few times, nice if you like being sat in solid traffic on the A21 avoiding the idiots overtaking at stupid speeds! Not for me ta!
I went on my old t595 many many moons ago. I won't go again. I was made to crash by a nob doing stoppies with no warning. Its full of wanky morons doing stupid things all around you. Good luck but keep your wits abut you.
Hi Bootsam and Nuttynick as I've already said we won't be using the A21 and last year getting in from the West was ok'ish. Not much chance of stoppies unless they are at 2Mph due to heavy traffic for the last mile.
Biggest Bike meet of the year...and no one mentioned it. We've a small group (5) going down tomorrow. Leaving Heathrow area around 10'ish. Newlands for 10:45, then this route. Horley, Forrest Row, Uckfield, Golden Cross, Ninfield and battle. Thus we can avoid most of the Police and traffic.
