If you want a meeting place in Melton for Sundays there's always the Tennis Courts/Park on the main road opposite the Big Park, it's just past the Petrol station on the corner of 6047 (just b4 the Bridge), they do Tea, Coffee etc along wi cakes etc & there's usually other Bikes parked up as is a popular Bikers meeting point

I'm from Derby too... It would be ok to meet some Sunday morning to make a ride together. I prefer Peak District (Derby, Leek, Buxton, Glossop, (snake pass), Matlock, Derby).... I'm open to any suggestions... See You on two wheels...

If Melton is still a venue in mind for a meeting point, there are a couple of suggestions for a meeting point. Kettleby Cross (Wetherspoons) on Wilton Road A606, main road in Melton. Always a couple of bikes outside on a Sunday, some pavement parking for a few bikes, plenty of free parking in the Barclays Bank car park next door to the pub. Also large car and coach park opposite the pub. Parking is not limited for this venue. Cheap drinks and food. Wilton Park on Wilton Road / Leicester Road A607, about 100 yd past Kettleby Cross Wetherspoons pub. Plenty of free parking, cafe etc, normally a few bikes there on a Sunday. Both the above are a few hundred yards from the Petrol station that has been mentioned before. Nice large forecourt, easy for a large number of bikes to call in and fill up. I would be up for a meet and ride out that starts in Melton.
some pavement parking for a few bikes ??????? not keen within 5 miles of melton are lots of nice pubs with carparks and no possibility of grief for parking on the pavement
There is plenty of safe free parking next door in Barclays bank, or directly opposite in a very large car park. Was just trying to give a few suggestions of a possible meet up points, as many seemed to say Melton was a good point to meet.
Ok, so I haven't had chance to go and see the pub but if its no good we can change Venue. I have had a chat with the manager on the phone and he has no problems. Anne of Cleeves, Melton Mowbray. Has a carpark to the rear. 1st Sunday of each month. 1pm. A bit late notice for this sunday so 6th July for the first one 3rd August 7th September 5th October Will aim to kick this off earlier in April next year. Cheers Haydn

Just to confirm that this is purely a meet up point for a nosey around the bikes, have a chat, grab some lunch and a drink. Im not going to arrange ride outs before or after, people can do what they want.
