  1. Hi Folks
I was going out today for a blast with my new exhaust and ecu remap thanks "chrisw"
wound over once then kicked out just clicking.

removed the left fairing to investigate and found the starter solenoid connection from the battery was really corroded tried to undo and the damn thing snapped of only using 1/4 drive socket

where is the best place to get a replacement
also while i am here what other bits can i check /grease/clean/replace. in this area so i don't have similar in the future
already done the 2 small relays after advice from chrisw

    thanks

  2. Its worth checking the earth connection too then while the fairings off... If you can its an opportunity to add a secondary earth wire too.. Helps with the cranking on start up..... I'd unclip all the connections too, clean them up a bit & ACF everything to protect em in future.

  3. Hi Hutch
    whats acf mean ?
i read on an earlier post about a company who does the uprated leads is this a worthwhile investment

  4. Anti Corrosion Fluid, as in ACF50

  5. This stuff below mate... Expensive but the best protection you can buy.

I'd guess it depends how bad a state your wiring is at the moment mate... If its beyond cleaning up then a new loom may be the answer... Pay attention to the regulator connections too btw.. Its under the battery behind the ECU & corroded pins will lead to a short life on the reg rec

  6. thanks
only slightly obvious eh to early

trust me to brake it on the bank holiday nice day as well
just have to sit on it and pretend

  7. Not at all mate.. Anyway... Patch up that earth whack the fairing back on... Too nice a day to pretend!!:upyeah::upyeah:

  8. thanks a 1 can on its way
i also think i have to invest in a centre stand. like the abba one
it will make life a lot easier

  12. i live at the bottom of a dip could possibly get it up but would not have the energy to get my leg over

yes that would make life easier.
the 848 looks very nice clean lines. have you an all in one rear light can't see indicators

  13. Normal rear light mate.. Indicators went into the vents:upyeah:

  14. How ? do you use the standard ones explain please

  15. 45 sounds a bit pricey for the solenoid tbh. Try your dealer tomorrow... ;)

...........stand corrected. 45 quid is a decent price
