I had a unexpected afternoon pass,so i popped over so silverstone on the pp,only stopped for a hour,a lot of Ducatis on track,i could make out Kopes and Matts Alstar bikes both very nice also a very loud yellow 998?
So we're in Brighton for a bit of brekky, there's a woman sat on here own outside the caff. Not the prettiest thing in the world, but certainly pleasant looking. She looks at me so I smile at her, and she smiles back. Just when I was thinking of wandering over to chat with her, her mates turn up...a skeleton, a walrus, and Predator, all wearing cut-off denims with patches bearing the legend 'Dykes on Bikes WMC'. Got up early and met a good friend who has decided to come back to two wheels after a 30 year break, but he's bought a Vespa! So the two of us went out for a very leisurely ride and ended up at the Riverside Cafe Benson for a bacon sarnie, we must of looked like a couple of Mods and Rockers! Then spent the rest afternoon finishing painting my living room window, another two coats (five in total) but looks brilliant and can't believe it's taken me 10 years to do it, brown patio doors next on the list!
Fitted an evotech tail tidy to my mates dorsoduro 1200....ended up having to grind bits off, leave bits out and grind down the seat release cable to get it all to work....looks and works fine but the evo tech kit is crap and the seat locking mechanism that aprilia designed is even worse, but, we knew what was coming as lots of people have had the same problem plus on top of that aprilia changed the mechanism as well....so, what should have taken an hour took 3.
Interesting question....branding....not me - black set of 1 piece held leathers and a Simpson street shark helmet....never seen anyone wearing one ever. Never gone for the whole ensemble thing....
Biking is a personal thing isn't it. I will be thoroughly pleased with myself riding a Rossi rep bike (official limited edition with a number on the tank and everything) wearing matching Rossi rep leathers from the same era and a Rossi helmet. It's probably another riders worse nightmare. Just as that horrible, horrible 916 in Lamborghini nail polish glitter red was the owners pride and joy. It takes all sorts!
Took the good lady wife to Wisley with the 2 youngest daughters. Nice lunch and a pleasant afternoon. No biking all weekend Bottle of wine to be opened and an early night is in order
spent a few days with my wife and eldest son who came over to visit for a few days. been sorting out the schools for the kids (all 3 of em) and a nice little house for us all. took some time out to show them the finer things england has to offer... then finished off the long weekend with a blast out on the bike with el toro and a long session in the gym to get rid of all them fish n chips & curries we had!
It is. I can see where you're coming from..... For me, I'm the absolute opposite. I'm me, I don't want to look like anyone else or anyone else to look like me. Going to the u.s. later in the year....got my next lid lined up....last Simpson bit the the dust last year so I need another one. Tend to prefer Simpson but not bandit/stig styles but more Indy car....although I've seen another make so I may stray, but the Simpsons have kept my head in one piece for the last 25years
