Can I get a rewiinnnnnnd...... Im thinking same here.......sell a clean 848 and buy a 999,749 for the track? I dont want to keep using the 848 in case I drop it... what say you?
If i would be in your place, than i will keep the 848 if you have it already. The 999 and the 749 are not the best bikes to track because of the lot of fault. The 1098 and 848 are more reliable bikes like the 999 and 749. Or if you dont want keep the 848 then by 996 or 998 to track these are the best i think but that is only my oppinion. Regards
get your 848 on track, with the right set up they are brilliant track bikes. but i love the 999 saw a yellow s out today at Pulborough, looked mega.
The 848 is set up for track but in road trim.....having a hoot on it, just luurrrv the shape of the 999...
Well I have a 749s loved it the minute I set eyes on her stunning she is the duchess of senna the 999/749 will always be a great talking point the way I look at it is if you like them ride them. I like them all that is all the different models but I do have my favorites 999/749 is one & the 996/998.
you mean your 999 isnt reliable and has a lot of faults . You bought a bad bike and you were told that when you got it .
yeah, I'm not sure I agree with this statement. I've seen more problems with 1098 race bikes than 998/999s.
I have only ridden a 848Evo and the 748 but my impression is that the 999 is maybe a little extreme but more adjustable, for example seat height and foot peg heights. Not a reason to change though, I would keep what you have.
Go ride one I am sure that the 848 will be quicker but I would say that the 749/999 models shall we say are fast becoming iconic Ducatis. No matter what other people say about them they are still a Ducatis. Sure if it's bhp etc you want then the 848/1098 has it but for me they just don't say enough. I do find that having my 749s on the road is more than enough you know it's how you ride them I go out with guys who ride big bikes power full engines etc & I have no problem keeping up with them. Lots of folk talk a good ride out on their bikes very few folk can do what they say. Go try both bikes out see how you go price wise 848 are still allot of money were as the 749 are at good money.
Ive owned a 749s but thining og going back...i think its the looks, they're stunning. But yeah, both 848 & 749 can be ridden pretty fast.
