I've got a little voltage meter that I want t fit to the bike.... Whats this blank for?.. Any idea's? Whatever it is isn't relevant to my bike but I'm curious.
There;s a volt meter on the dash isn't there? That "blank" is there to fall out and get lost on the garage floor when removing the throttle assembly...It does it's job very well!
Voltmeter on the dash but it defaults back to the 'normal' dash once you get past 5mph... Bitten by reg failures in the past so wanted to keep an eye on the voltage on the move.... I'm hoping that that blank is just big enough to pop this wee thing inside... Keep it as stock as possible.
It's the OFF/PARK/BEAM (lights) switch that goes in there on non-US&UK bikes. Different part number should be in the book. I know as I converted my bike to have this switch. I run HIDs and didn't want the arc being struck/extinguished/re-struck every time I started the bike. HID bulb life is more a function of starts than hours, so it helps bulb life. I have the install instructions if anybody wanted to do it, nicked off the old Ducatista site John
I had one of these fitted on my Daytona 675 (a bike with known R/R issues) 6v, 12v, 24v LED Battery level voltage monitor meter J | eBay The LED would get your attention if there was a voltage problem rather than having to check the voltage readout.
