Part Of Fairing Missing ?

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by DucRod, May 7, 2014.

  1. Comparing the right fairing to the left on the 600ss it looks like there may be a part missing namely the black trim I have it on the left side but not on the right side should there be one fitted ?

And if yes has anyone got one ?

  3. I think these are fitted to the later facelifted models my 1996 bike isn't fitted with them

  4. something similar was fitted on my bike when i got it with full fairing
mine is a later 1999 model
i may still have them in the shed

  5. If you have them and no longer require therm then a sale may be on the cards here's hoping :upyeah:

  6. John's bike is an IE and I don't think the air conveyors on the IE's will fit a carbed SS.....

  7. dont know if they are the same or not
the fairings are totaly different but no idea about the air conveyors

so much is the same and so much is so different

  8. I might / should have a pair of these in the garage somewhere.. will let you know for sure tomorrow when Home :)

  9. Ok cheers there is no hurry I have only just noticed it due to having a fairing clean up thanks :upyeah:

  12. No worries mate :) glad your happy with them :)

  13. ooh! you jammy lucky person you! I've been looking for these for yonks, (had a wanted notice on the old ducatisti site) Well done you, all the best.

  14. Pretty sure they will still be available from Ducati, I bought a set a few years back I don't think they were that expensive...

  15. Thanks, yes you're quite right not expensive at all (part of me thinks that might be the reason I get so few replies to my global parts search) but sadly discontinued, our local parts chap was kind enough to place a request to other UK dealers via HQ but I heard nothing back.
I've sent emails to numerous dealers in USA, Australia, Ian Gowanloch (I've had great success there on other parts I've chased) Stein Dinse still have them listed on their website but unfortunately no longer available.

Maybe some bright spark with a 3D printer could help?!

    (Apologies for thread hi-jack)
