Them wheezy old Guzzis can be made to do incredible things - look at this air-cooled old duffer taking it to the might of the Britten V1000's... Okay, so the engine and chassis were quite heavily breathed on, courtesy of a dentist called Dr John Wittner, but it was still archaic tech giving the new boys a black eye!

I can't really think of I bike I've had that was disappointed with, other than perhaps the Suzuki gn250 I had when I was very young. But there again it did what I wanted out of a bike at the time.
My old RD250 had no brakes and didn't handle, little microns looked nice in its day. The RGV250 used to fall apart but was great fun. The motocross bikes (Honda's) were great bikes. 2 stroke fun
Kept getting caught speeding on the Gixxer a few years ago so decided to slow myself down and pxed for a BMW K100LT...10 days later went back and got the Gixxer back. Cost £200 to swap back but worth it
I cant think of one I was really disappointed in either, maybe an old MBX 125 wasn't that great and I expected more thump from my DR thumper but its two wheels and riding
I knew of an 850 MkII LeMans that was kitted out with tons of Dr John innovations.........pulled 150mph at Snetterton.....
Swapped my GS750 Suzuki for a Bmw R80/7. This was from Carnells in Doncaster in the days when it was not usual to have a test ride. I can see why! I would not have bought it had i ridden it first and tbh it was a bit of a shock. I've heard people say that a short test ride is not enough and you need time to gel with it. I started to get used to it, but then my Brother in Law bought a new Honda VF750 and unfortunately let me have a go. I sold the BM and later bought a VT500 Honda which did everything as well as, if not better.
When I first passed my test I bought a Honda VT250, looked the part (at the time) I manfully put up with it for about three months before chopping it in. Everything else has been great
I have to say of the limited number of bikes Ive ridden, I took them all for what they were, but the one I really hated was the Yam FZ6 as it was just bloody dull. Had a afternoon on a CBR125 and bloody loved the thing. Rode a Night Rod which just seemed to make lots of noise and cook my right leg. The first 10mins of my first Ducati test ride, I just couldn't seem to gel with it but then the road opened up, I cracked the throttle open and that was it. Sold.
Buy a Z1000 A1 25 years after having my first. How things have moved on, in my minds eye it was one of the best bikes I'd owned, in reality it's a death trap. LOL.
I also had a big Kat. Great bike but the only bike that needed to be 3 point turned on a dual carraigeway. PLus its habit of shaking its head at 120mph and the way you lay on the bike with arms stretched far in front. Bloody loved it though.
Loving my recently aquired Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport, not the same as the Multistrada for sure but much more comfortable. Thought it would slow me down .....but no. Could do with a stronger spring on the back ....
