R&G have just developed a set of tank grips, but looking at them, they look like they'll shred you leathers for you
My Dainese leather trousers have that stretchy stuff on the inside of my thighs. Will a stopm fuck those up?
The rubber on the stomps is sticky rather than abrasive, you also grip it with your knees, not your thighs.
Its my thighs that sit either side of the tank. You might be all knees but some of us have a normal physique.
Venture Shield is more about paint protection rather than offering extra grip. I've put some on the tank of my girlfriend's Monster, it protects the paint but it doesn't offer anything other than that.
+1 for Techspec pads. Ive got them on the Triumph. Much less sticky/bumpy finish than the Stompgrips and look neater as a result without much difference in grip in my mind. The flash makes these look much lighter in colour than they actually are...they are black rather than grey.
Stomp Grips are designed to wear away before your clothing. They are by far the best if you want more control out using your legs in my opinion. The Tech grips kinda look more OEM, personally not for me the feel of the stomps is bang on for me. They defo suit me better. (Tried both)
I've done clear on my EvoSe and it looks fine IMO. If you've got a black bike, do black, if you got a solid red bike....guess what....
Yeah I thought that originally yet, I personally thinks it's more about raising the foot pegs up so ones knees can get into the top groove on the tank instead. I've had stomp grips on all my bikes in the last 7 years and wouldn't use anything else. Personal choice though.
Ive used these, similar but half the cost Eazi-Grip Tank Traction Grip Pads - Suzuki GSXR 1000 2005-2006 - Clear | eBay
