Time for a tyre change, want to try something away from Michelin ,currently on Pirelli scorpions on the multi, but looking at Metzeler ,but which one, seems to be M8 or M5? Has anyone ridden on both? Riding style is to make good progress when out of town, but mileage and wet grip also required. Look forward to any help.
I tend to prefer a profile that doesn't tip the bike to quick off the centre line, just my preference ,so I guess a more rounded profile suits my riding.
I run the Z8s (M/O compound) on my K1300S, and they are fantastic. And yes, they have a rounded front tyre profile (unlike Michelins or Pirellis) that allow a very smooth transition from edge to centre to edge. Highly recommended.
It's the specific [newer] compound of the Z8s that made it win the 2012 tyre of the year. Older Z8s are still on the market, so make sure you pick up a set that has M/O marked between the front/back tyre.
Hi all, Anybody has experince with Metzeler racetec tyres? I cant decide between diablo supercorsa(currently on a bike) and Met. racetec. Many thanks!
How long have these been on the market? Going to try and get a set fitted to the K13 next week Running M3 at present
+1 for the K3. Have done 3 days at Cartagena, 1 long day at Brands Indie and planning another. Tyres have performed faultlessly inspiring confidence and (slightly) faster times. Considering K1 front and K2 on rear when the time comes to replace them but would be content to replace with K3. Andy
