Have just seen this for sale, i had no idea they made a road going version. And it seems quite low in price at £49k One for the when i am rich You can see more at this website supermomo
That's not an original Supermono. It's a modern testastretta version. I met a guy who makes them and they are a thing of beauty. I think he said he would make on to your spec for about 45k.
Alistair makes an absolutely stunning bike and his attention to detail is phenomenal, it must be fantastic to ride!
I supose if i had read this One of only four ever built road going Supermono’s . The Supermono Strada has been developed in the UK by Alistair Wager a brilliant engineer and designer who has in the past made his living by working for various race teams around the world but for around the past 3 or 4 years he’s been on this project and to date has built Four. They’re built using many genuine factory Supermono parts or parts from the original Ducati suppliers. Developed for superior performance and road adaptation such as the Pierobon frame who made both the originals and these slightly adapted road versions for Alistair It uses the testastretta cylinder head from the 999R and various other engine developments giving it a cubic capacity of 595CC so power is up around 10 BHP on the racers and by the use of lighter material weighs the same as the race bikes despite the addition of the road going parts like lights and starter motor. The pictures really don’t do it justice and it needs to be seen to be truly appreciated attention to design and detail has been paid in every aspect of the bike. This is Alistair's own bike and the one tested in countless magazines throughout the world it’s a unique opportunity to acquire the bike Ducati should have but never did build ............£49950.00 I would have known it wasn't origional But still a very nice bike
He is a lovely man too And I have had the pleasure of sitting on one of them I was surprised at how light it was and instantly fell in love with it. Got my penny pot and saving for one
Bang on he's a great guy, used to be involved with DD a few years ago (Cobby and Harriet) and the knowledge and passion he has is amazing, he even took his fuel tank breather off his bike to get me through a race a few years ago. Must send him a mail to see how he is
Yes first saw the bike at DD with cobby and Harriet He has a real passion but very unassuming too Anyway Jon how you feeling
Ive felt better Viv, I'm home so that's a start but I'm having to learn everything again even simple tasks take 3 times longer to do now. Thanks
