I take it nopbody else is out yet:wink: Ah seriously, thats encouraging especially as Rossi looks like re signing for another thwo years , seeing as there are no other options.Best we can expect is to see some progress.
If Rossi has run out of options, may just be that he started looking to shave off a few tenths. After all, there isn't a whole lot else for a potentially out-of-work racer to do. More interesting will be whether Nicky feels the same degree of motivation, if he is shortly to become persona non grata in the Ducati garage. Oh look - he's still faster.
Then come the race He go's backwards.......... I see Stoner is spending alot of time on track sorting out a setup for the race! now thats just not his style! and not fastest! Dark horse for sunday ? My Prediction for race Pedders Stoner Lorenzo Pedders is now number 1 rider and it's starting to show
Whoo - hoo! Hayden 3rd in FP2 - less than a 10th from Lorenzo on "pole" and almost a second in front of the GOAT. I still think they've sacked the wrong man.
Rossi is an embarrassment. 1.2 secs from the pole, second to last proper Moto GP bike. Whereas Barbera is front row and Hayden a smidgeon behind in 4th. Oh you may say that Rossi keeps it all for the race, but it isn't that bright starting in 10th if you can start in 3rd. And the Italian fans deserve better too. The difference is that Hayden and Barbera are still taking all the risks that the very top racers take, but Rossi doesn't look as if he is prepared to take them any more. I actually think that Rossi is now doing Ducati a disservice as their rider. He is so high profile that he damages his own and their reputation. This is probably not the best time for them to have the arc light turned on them. Note that the Ducati is still half a second faster than Stoner's pole last year (yes I know the capacity has changed). So the bike can't be that crappy. Interesting some comments on the Panigale on here suggesting it can't be any good because it is frameless and that Ducati can't win on anything other than trellis frames. So you see how the continued failure of Rossi can start to even impact street bike sales over time.
What happened with Lorenzo on the last lap of qualifying? he looked like he was set to grab pole again and just pulled in ?
I bet he ran out of fuel, but no-one would admit that! For an electrical problem, you don't throw a hissy fit all the way down pit lane to the press conf.
Hayden rode well didn't he, and hats off to hector, did you see how smiley faced he was at the post press? Bless him Im not quite sure what Rossi's doing with his time now, I'm not having a pop at him but as a few have said the bike can run faster than he pushes it so if he won't push it to the edge how can he be lead developer? I appreciate during the races he's finishing higher but don't Ducati/Audi need top speed and limits of the bike data to develop it or dosnt that matter? I just don't get it as Hayden's faster on most qualifiers so dosnt that give them the best data?
Some impressive times by VR on the hard tyre (used in race) but once again when on the soft tyre it all go's to shite! Have a look at Stoners hard tyre lap times and the others............... But VR has some work to do to get up to the lead pack on the first lap. VR will be the top duke again at race end!
The usual will happen, Hayden will go backwards and Rossi will finish top Ducati. It may not seem like it but Rossi is 6th in the championship, just in front of Hayden. Both top Ducati's
