My Dad used to send us down to newsagents for a quarter of chocolate raisins and a quarter of chocolate peanuts all mixed up in the same bag. Still love them all these years later
The Decade Boxes sound quite awesome, but 3kg of sweets? Crumbs. That's 3000g. So if a quarter is 113 grammes, that's the equivalent of 26 quarters. It would now take me several years to eat that quantity of sweets. I also have a nasty feeling that I'd be on the cusp - needing a mixture of 60s and 70s boxes. Too young for the early 60s, and had pretty much given up sweets by the mid to late 70s. Sweet nostalgia - it all comes down to a handful of years, really, doesn't it?
I was rather partial to a Bar Six, ...here it is in 'new fangled' guise... ^ still looks 'new and different' to me. Why do things have to change?
Drumsticks from the time when there was only one flavour. Wax lips. Milk teeth. Coconut Ice. Tartrazine and E numbers.
I was a huge milk bottles fan but maybe you can still get them. BTW - is milk still delivered in the UK in glass bottles from milk floats?
What were those gigantic versions of a Crunchie? They were that big, they wouldn't fit in a big gob's gob....... No, not a Lion Bar...........they were just a dog sh*t that had been kicked around in the stones....
No it's not a hybrid here.....It's some c*nt with a bl**dy VW van (Beetle engine type) that has to deliver one pint a day to my neighbour at somewhere between midnight and two in the morning........and my neighbour has a long uphill drive...........
Win a few, lose a few. Marathon was always Snickers on the Continent and they adopted the Continental name. On the other hand, Twix was Raider on the Continent, and they harmonised that and Raider disappeared to become Twix. Topic has always been Topic everywhere. "Er.... "A Happy Birthday to Toby!"? "A hazelnut in every bite!"
Me too. We grew up in an age where "selfie" had another meaning. And too many of them made you go blind!:Watching:
