I got home after a quick blast to Dresden and back. My Mivv Suono didn't sound quite right. I thought it was a bit rattly and louder than normal but when I checked there was only one rivet still keeping the can on the pipe. Three and a half years of Testastretta violence while touring seems to have beaten it apart. I have now refitted the standard system and am sleuthing it around town while buying some new big-head rivets to have a go at reassembly.
+1 ............and welcome back stranger, it'd be nice to hear from you here a bit more often (.....yeah yeah I know I keep promising to get down to Poole!)
Hahaha Actually I'm still on my first exhaust gasket, fourth set of PR3's, second chain and sprockets, second set of brake pads. I'm off to Italy again next week. Mugello and the Ducati Grandstand calls.
Maybe we should start a thread on mileages. Until now I thought I was ahead at 30k miles. And that's on the original engine, speedo and rear brake. OK it did have a new front foot and rear suspension servo....I love it. Best bike ever...IMHO
Go on then, your idea, do it (edit 16/05....I've done it;-)............Highest Mileage Multistrada 1200's WHO - WHERE - MILES 1) 'Longwayhome' - UK - 36,000 2) 'AirConTechnical' - UK - 30,000
Bit of a cheat really - but - Veetwin - UK and Europe - 32,000 (on a 2010 1200S) Veetwin - UK and Europe - 15,000 (on a 2013 1200S) - soon to 18,000 after the next 3 weeks! Total 47K but over 2 bikes
Well done! I reckon you can have a multi-Multi mileage category, I wonder if there are any more like you? I should hit 40,000 in June .
