  2. If you can do 2-up on a Honda 400N Lausanne to Cambridge non-stop in a cold spring with minimal use of motorways, can't see that the Monster will be a problem. And the thread is so old, it probably wasn't.

But the pillion might have something to say about it...

  3. Hi all. Great posts, nice to see were you`ve been on ya Monsters. keep um coming. Sadly my plans to get abroad took a major kicking during a freak storm when rain came through the house gable end wall into the kitchen. Builder called out, big bucks to put a lintel over the window and door and reset a load of bricks and pointing up. So thats me cleaned out and no hols this year.
Will try to get BSB round at Assen in sept
    Never mind :frown:

  4. If you have a satnav - just set it to warn you of upcoming fuel stations - that worked for me. You just set it far enough ahead to allow for the next motorway exit.......
I have done France (twice) and Germany ........ fabulous fun. Ventura luggage with dry-liner bags is the business - and you are sorted!

  5. Sorry about your rainwater problem, and good luck with the builders. Won't house insurance pay up?

  6. About 15ft...vertically!

  7. House insurance will probably not pay as its the wrong kind of water!

Sadly i made a claim about two years ago for some drainage work outside which just about doubled my house insurance and made me uninsurable with any one else. so done`t want to go there.
The water problem is due to the old wood windows being replaced with UPVC. With no lintel above UPVC isnt strong enough so all the brick work above settled and is just held up by the glass.........gulp.
Cant afford a "bike" tw*t nav at £300. Did try to adapt my £40 car nav but it all looked a bit heath-robinson, vibrated to much, fell off and was dangling on its cable at 80 mph and its not waterproof. Good effort though.
