  1. Is it Dave ?

Think I saw that in another post, if so I've dropped him an email via his site so hopefully he'll get that and do me a good deal...fingers crossed :)

  2. Yes Dave has the multi, best to ring them ask for Paul or Dave, say Simon with the PP passed on there details,i have been using them for 30 years, turn around is quick on standard colours but you may have to wait a while longer on the fancy stuff.

  3. Well that's everything off for powder coating.

Having the bars, belly pan, SW motech guard, pillion hangers and footpegs all done in black.

Unfortunately as helpful as some of the companies given on the forum are I simply couldn't get the turn around quick enough as clearly the painter is stuffed without the bars as he can't really move the bike.

Luckily a really nice local company called Langley coatings took them in this morning and will have them ready for me on Wednesday which is bloody good service.

  4. Christ this is taking a while, riding season will be over if you don't hurry up.

  5. tell me about it.

  6. Another few updates.

    Seats:

Had the seats recovered and am really impressed. I had some extra foam added to the main seat pan as it dips about 1" in to almost nothing, as Ive got tall legs i quite like the idea of a little extra height, it can always be removed later if not.

We used a grip material for the sides which gives my legs something to lock on to but a smoother material on the main section so i can slide side to side if i wish. Its also very factory looking if you check out the latest seats, this is what i wanted as i think seats can be a little too jazzy at times

I also opted for that grip material for the pillion main section but used the smoother material for the front face of Lora's seat so it runs in to mine. Lora is unlikely to want to move about too much and i very rarely warn her before giving it some beans :)

Belly Pan and SW motech guard:

Collected my satin black powder coated bits mid week as well, still waiting on the bars as there was some slight orange peel effect which non of us were happy with so they've kept those and the pillion footrests to re coat and ill get them back Monday.

happy with the belly pan and bits though :)

  7. It's all coming together and looking really good fella. :upyeah: Who did you get to do your seats again?

  8. Cheers fella. :upyeah:

  9. Well, she's back .......

And Oh my word..... She looks bloody lovely :)

Anyway, I'm afraid no pictures yet, mainly because it's raining, but partly because I've also fitted the mivv but the sodding servo is seized to the cable from the cat so I have that dangling off the side at the moment soaking in wd40 overnight in the hope tomorrow morning it'll shift

Jesus the Mivv doesn't half bark though, I considered popping in the two extra db killers but where's the fun in that, I'll run it as is for a while until my ears bleed :)

Tell you what though, having new paint doesn't half make all the shite bolts look bad, I've still got some fettling to do over summer

  10. We'll, she's dirty, she's wet and still in bits.

But I thought I'd sneak a quick pic whilst tucked up in the garage

  11. That is looking nice. Look forward to seeing more pics. Very original idea.

  12. Well it's original in the fact it's the first black pikes peak style I know of. I can't take all the credit because it's just a pikes peak paint job, but with the added twist of the front mudguard and extra pin stripes.

Still, it definitely makes the bike look more my style than when it was plain white.

Still lots to do now with added touches but I'll take my time with that, I just wanna ride it now :)

  13. *BrakeTech! Accept no substitute.

  14. Do they do multistrada 1200 discs?

  15. Hell yeah. Stainless Steel, Iron or even Ceramic. Yes, Ceramic! Hop onto the BrakeTech website and check them out.

  16. ProBolt is your friend.

  17. Racebolt.co.uk usually works out cheaper than Probolt.
