  3. Are these any good, never worn an HJC or known anybody who has? I thought they were budget lids?

  4. They are very good. Cheaper, but not budget

  5. RPHA10 and the plus version are good helmets, very light and well vented,a little noisy .The pinlock system is not so good and i suffer from a misty visor is cold and wet conditions, but they are a good summer helmet.

  6. Ive got two HJC lids because they fit me very well but they are definately not budget lids.

As for that site ive had a very bad experience with them and would not recommend using them. I would rather sit in the house on a sunny day with no helmet than have to buy one from there.

  7. Looks a bargain! Any idea what the fit is like? Is a large same as an arai large?

  8. The Arai is a tighter fit, but that's not to say the HJC is loose in anyway

  9. What happened, always good to share experiences even if bad!

  10. Ordered helmet paid for it over the phone, was given delivery date, waited in all day for courier which never turned up. Phoned and asked what happened only for some obnoxious girl who who then said oh that's sold out, so I asked why it was still listed on their website for sale (which I checked before I phoned them), got no response to that and she then said can't you just pick something else. If I hadn't phoned to ask why it wasn't delivered I wouldn't have known. Demanded refund there and then and I had to wait a week just to get that back! Never again.

Made a complaint but all that did was get my refund back as I had to ask more than once for it. Don't think the guy on the phone was that sympathetic and I had to ask for an apology.

  11. Sorry to high jack the thread but... Just wanted a few thoughts on the lid @final_edition mention on here the carbon HJC -FG 15 vs the AGV K3-SV.. Both similar prices, just want to know what could be the better purchase on build quality, safety, street creed :) etc..... All,round better helmet

Link for agv I like AGV K-3 SV Rossi Gothic Black - FREE UK DELIVERY

  12. Been through most brands but seem to have an AGV shape head so that's all I'll buy now. On my third so there doing something right, at least for me.

  13. The HJC seemed to fit me more like a Shoei, basically more face room than an Arai.... They seem to make me feel like I'm licking windows :)

  14. Not a fan of Arai, always think if Lego made helmets...

  15. That's the analogy I was looking for...thank you sir

  16. I had an HJC carbon helmet and found it very noisy - didn't get on with it at all. I think it may be just that Carbon is so rigid and light that it amplifies wind noise rather than absorbs it. I now have a Ben Spies HJC RPHA-10 which is a great helmet, and almost as light as the carbon one.

Nothing wrong with the quality of HJC at all, though the lining on my Bell M5X is a bit plusher and the Bell also gets 5 stars on the Sharp scheme, whereas the HJC only gets three. The Bell is quieter too...
