Hi guys I'm still undecided on purchasing a set of Termis for the bike. Do they make that much of a difference ?
To be fair, Termignoni is only one of the (race) systems available for the Panigale. A very good system it has to be said though. A freer flowing exhaust and air filter with a modified engine map is one of a number of modifications that improve the bike over the off the shelf version - unless it's an R or a Superlegerra and even they are not good enough for some. seem to be getting a bit of a slating at the moment for one reason or another, more to do with build quality i think.. performance wise i could comment.
So..... On older 916/996/748 they were pretty good, I have to say though they have been blitzed in terms of build quality by the likes of Akrapovic. I had an arrow on my Daytona and the build quality was stunning, all of the termi's I seem to see for 848's already have burn marks on the carbon where they need re packing. I honestly don't think they are worth the money, but I do think they are there or there abouts, behind akrapovic
I find the standard cans on the Panigale to be quite loud already. Is there much more of a gain by buying the Termis. A £1500 difference in sound ? I bought a full titanium SBK system for my S1000RR for £1200. Just can't seem to see the sence in laying out £1500 for a set of cans that won't make that much difference as the stock cans are already quite loud. I'm not looking for power gains. The Termis on my older dukes sounded ace. Just can't seem to see the gain on the latest models.
mine is transformed from a running perspective since fitting the term slips. Bottom and mid-range feels a lot smoother and the bike is much easier to ride in stop-start traffic and lower speeds etc. The bike doesn't really much sound louder to me just a deeper rumble. Very happy (especially as mine we an 800 ebay special and with only a few miles on them).
about £1100 from Italy.... Termignoni Titanium for Ducati 1199 Panigale 2012 12 13 - 94dB Racing Slip On Exhausts - Silencers -
