2000 mile Trip, Need new boots

  1. I thought they'd been around for some time now?......Seen reviews for them in the past and I personally wouldn't touch them with a bargepole

  2. As Cheng Shin Rubber (of Taiwan), they have been around since 1967, later renamed Maxxis, and are a huge company. I am old enough to remember when Bridgestone tyres (of Japan) had a very poor reputation compared to European brands. Nowadays all the tyre companies including Maxxis make tyres in many different countries. Does that reassure anyone? I thought not.

  3.

To be fair the reviews I saw were some time ago now, so I guess they could only improve! I think some race teams use them now so that can't be a bad recommendation....

  4. I use Maxxis on the MX bike and they're pretty good.

I don't think they're quite there with road tyres yet, but they're not as bad as many people automatically think.

I wouldn't put any on the multi though!

  5. Oh and I've just done a 2500 mile trip and I think I need some new boots too...
