Hit 'Quote'.........bottom left of 'reply' window........hit 'Insert Quotes'..........another window will appear, which gives you an opportunity to Delete or Add the quote...
In the post you want to quote in the bottom right it says quote. Press that, then go to your reply bottom right again you'll see insert quotes. That brings up the message and upload quote. Hope this makes sense
I bought battery cables from Halfords not expensive, 4 in two different lengths, and ran them from the battery to the solenoid then on to the starter motor, then from the engine earth to the frame up below the air box and from the battery earth to the same bolt on the frame. I also had to have a new starter motor from Electrex, but the difference it has made is unbelievable.
Stevo, found my old cable, I can make up a starter solenoid to starter cable, think that's pretty standard and a battery earth to the frame cable (mine is 270mm eye to eye, both 6mm ends), If your earth cable is different let me know and also if you want any others made up. Pm me your address and I can get them off to you pronto.
hi couldnt get the one to the starter on as the nut was well corroded and was going to isle of man ,had a succesful trip only for battery to be flat after arriving home,so am probably going to try and fit the wire you suppled aswell as the original because there is some thread left showing on the starter fixing doubt the nut will come off succesfully,also going to buy a gel battery by motobat what do you reckon? thanks again steve
