41K! Pay more if you like. Seems reasonable and realistic ish to me for a high mileage white frame ... dunno
It sold on eBay last week for 1750 on its 3rd listing by the vendor. He kept dropping the bin price from 2800 down to 1800. It's was discussed on another day thread on here recently. Whats wrong with it? The panels don't match. The graphics on the rhs is off a 92 model. The lhs graphics aren't quite right either. The mirrors should be red not black. There's a dent in the tank. It's been datatagged. Allow 1500 for an engine rebuild.
friend just picked up a 98 600ss for £350 at 41k miles you would need to factor in engine rebuild into the price
I had mine rebuilt at 23k as we pulled the vertical cylinder off to check the oil gallery plug and sure enough it was almost out. Rich at Louigi Moto said the majority that he looks at have the same problem. I wouldn't buy another now without proof that it had been sorted or the price reflected the work needed.
Buy it ride it, engine will be fine, people panic too much, you don't rebuild your car engine every 20,000 miles. Its been used which is better than sitting in the shed for years on end rotting away. The 49,000 mile one I've got here is in better nick than the 18,000 mile one. If id had the money I would have have bought it, to complete the set.
Exactly right. Ducati engines are much sturdier than people give them credit for, they just need to be used rather than polished.
Seller is slowly realising he can't get what he wants, its only worth what someone will pay. Agree high mileage shouldn't scare folk off. My SS has 30k and my ST is over 50k. They are both running sweet.
