I was reliably informed by a nice chap on here that this is where MR take the bikes. I was also informed when I initially contacted MR by themselves that they take the bike to a dyno nr portsmouth. Hence... I'm off to France on the 18th so needed it done prompt and can only afford 1 day off work to do so. Thus no CJS for me this time. I'd rather take it there but time and convenience isnt on my side.
I spoke to MotoRapido today and spoke to one of the technical guys about running my Arrow's until I can get it in to them. He said they are booking for 3 weeks time, but I need to wait until I am back from Knockhill so will get it booked in then.
Tbf my first question was 'when are u booking for' before I mentioned dyno set up so it may well be that when booking something in properly it's quicker, will call them later this week and see if they can do if and I'll book time off.
If sending straight to the dyno, one has to assume that MR will not be doing the actual mapping. YMMV.
So are Hampshire Motorcycles specialists who know how to properly map a Ducati? I would check to see that the guy fiddling with the ECU knows what they are doing, otherwise money saved may equal an expensive bill if the motor starts detonating etc... As the old saying goes... lowprice, performance, reliability. Pick 2 out of the three.
HMC seem decent people, know how to build and race bikes, don't know if they have all the programming kit or just Power Commander type work or a simple flash
No they work to the ECU Brad. Thats my issue. Lots of places can do to PC but only a couple can programme the ducati ecu. These do not look like a bunch of shysters. hmltd Besides i just need the low revs tickover tickled. Not a full fat map. Thats for when I source a set of headers or I buy the akro full system instead. Its on my list. get 1198 set up on dyno to rid myself of too rich tickover buy a set of 108mm brembos for my 916 buy either the full 70mm termi headers or buy full Ti Akro and sell termi slash cuts get full fat dyno map build new 1600TP VW Camper Engine buy the wife a xmas card
@bootsam Honestly? Reading all that above you ideally need to book a day off & get yerself to BSD.... Can't recommend these guys enough...
She doesnt get to see the list Nelson. Shes already looking at a new sofa. Weve only had the old one for 2 yrs ffs. Not to mention we need new carpets etc, but all that comes from our savings fund as we save money every month for household shit. Personally I'd be happy to sit on a wooden box on concrete floors but for some reason women dont see it like that.
I only need a stop gap set up @Hutch When I get a full fat map i will pop along to CJS. Once i have answered item 3 or 4. Item 4 being my favourite. Then its off to CJS. When my clutch was really grabby, the rich tickover was a nuisance as I couldnt feather the throttle and the clutch without the front trying to sky itself. Now ive added some convex plates (2) the grabbyness has gone completely and now its just a bit boggy at pullaway and much easier to deal with.
