Hello everybody, my friend have a 1198 and few days before he recognized a shit electric problem on his bike. During the ride the lights just disapper for few second and after the yellow triangle popping up and then everything working without any problem. He told me that only the lights/turn lights and the speedo light not working on that moments. Please if anybody had in the past same problem and now its solved then let me know. Thank you!
Could be wrong but I think I read somewhere that the behavior you describe could be Voltage spikes, possibly a sign that the reg/rec is on the way out.
First sign of electrical gremlins then change your relays. Two are by the battery box and the third is behind the nose cone (so it has to come off). You need 12v 4 pin micro relays. They are a cheap part(even from Ducati). If that does not work then start looking at more expensive items like the R/R.
I'm having the exact same problem on my 1098 as you describe. What was the outcome? Was it the relays?
Hello, We solved the problem it was the regulator even if we measured 13,5 in revs it was to low for the bike, after the new reulator till now is everything ok and i hope will be in the future as well. If you need any more info please dont hesitate to send a message.
