Here's my first bash at making a video using the go pro. Needs work, also I need to stop being a rubbish rider! Also, the quality is low so I could get something uploaded quickly.
If you need some hints etc, pm @andyp79, he's got well into filming his rides. He also posts them up on his motorcycle diaries webbyblogthing which is worth a visit too
I've had another go, the footage itself is a bit tame and the whole thing is amateurish, but its a first attempt. Final Cut Pro is brilliant to use, but I only got a 30 day free trial and I think the software is around 10 bazzillion pounds if you want to buy a copy.
Looks good enough to me. Liking the different angles and transitions plus its not a long tedious video.
I bought the gopro stick mount and fitted it to the mirror stem. Need to find a decent bit of road with some strong corners to get decent shots with that angle. I used that road because it's quiet and tucked away on salisbury plain and I wouldn't cause a drama riding up and down the same stretch 10 times. The side fairing was too flimsy and I couldn't use most of those shots due to excessive judder. Will need to find a way to mount to the frame or something less prone to flex.
Not really sure if that's directed at me. If so, there was no offence intended. I was joking about the mic, it happens. And, it is a nice road.
