Just arrived in Salisbury to discover the DB killer on my 2-1 Termi has done a runner on route! Does anyone know if you can buy replacements or after markets?
Custom job could be done by Mark Hill to copy the original if needed. Mark Hill (MHP Exhausts) - Top Bloke - Club Racing Forum - EMRA, BEMSEE, New Era, NG, MRO, Derby Phoenix - Visordown MHP Exhausts - Colchester, Essex - Engineering/Construction | Facebook
The dealer actually told me when I picked the bike up that leaving in the DB killers was pretty much saying I should ride in a tutu. While I am fiercely in favour of an inclusive society, this is an example where DB killers can be described as a bit gay.
Actually - TBH I put the DB killer back in the RSV4 - got knicked last year by the fuzz down in Poole on the bike night - the strip plate didn't help either....and ive gotta be honest even I thought it was way over the top....it sounded like a gattling gun so its been back in ever since. In fact its that loud even with the standard pipe on there its on the banned list at Castle Coombe...
Tends to be a £60 fine although i think it might have gone up to £100 now! Think they can give you a section 59 warning as well if they feel the need, so if its not sorted they can seize the bike next time! But i do believe loud pipes save livesA
Nope - laughed at all of his jokes and got away with it....however my mate in front of me on his tuono got the wanker - he started having a go at him saying he was trying to do a runner when all he did was stop a little further ahead as we were on a dual carriageway and he was looking for somewhere safe to stop....after he had a pop at him (I can only assume he was having a bad day he let him go - must have needed to someone to have a go at....)
I've just put the DB killers back in the 1098, it's got the full Termi system on and didn't have them in when I bought the bike. I managed to get a set second hand and just want to try the bike with them fitted, I just find it a bit loud in the mornings when I'm riding to work, will see how I get on with them.
