just a question to think about? usually every 2 years a new / updated model comes out anyone recon the panni could be in line for one ? trellis frame perhaps
I'm probably the least qualified to say but I doubt very much that Ducati would go back to a trellis frame, I know the current bike is not king of the heap on track but given time it will get there.
I admire your optimism gaz but unless they shove a v4 in the pani, I dont believe Ducati will stand on the top step of the podium too many times again. I also do not think they will ever win a superbike championship again. Unless of course, the rules are changed.
I think they might replace things like the sliver rearsets with black ones like they did with the 1098/1198 and a few other subtle things, just to piss off the existing anal OCD owners but nothing of major importance.
I agree, I don't think it will get changes other than colour and some details, there will be no Trellis frame, it isn't going to happen, and for a start the engine is designed for the frame it has (yes I know some have made a retro fit trellis frame but there is no point). It's possible that they will make some small changes to reduce cost, maybe a cheaper display etc.
What Ducati tend to do is provide the most exclusive previous model as the base model of the next phase. Hence the SL will be sold for 20k next season as the 1199s. Or maybe the 1199R.
