Go for the trip. Wouldn't be going to the San Marino Moto GP by any chance ? A group of us have booked it, mainly R1's plus my 1098s.............................looking forward to it and the ride there and back.
Remember when I'd bought my first bike. My 2006 zx636 aka my pride and joy. After about 6 weeks of owning it, cleaning it after every ride I took it over to a mates of mine.... Parked up, put the stand down (all the way I'd thought) got off.... turned.... took 3 steps and CRASH!!!! Snapped clutch lever, snapped mirror off, handle bar end all scuffed, engine cover scuffed! Felt sick as a dog. Its an awful feeling when it happens to something you really love BUT 99.9% of the time it can be fixed so hopefully you can sort it
And no one over 30... Shit, that would just leave pingdingdong and james 'stunt monkey' griffon alone in here.
(excuse the thread hijack OP) We're passing San Marino a few days before the GP unfortunately. We're heading for my girlfriends mums place in Bari so we're unlikely to want to ride back up after ~3000miles riding. We'll just have to watch on the internet from the swimming pool My older (road legal) trackbike R1 is the other option if I didn't take the 1199s, but I'm dreaming of the Stelvio Pass on the Panigale now so that decision is made.
