  1. I assume that the only only people bidding are conceptual artists.

  2. maybe if it was a rare brough or something but to even bid £1 for those is crazy.

  3. It`s true Fig, I wouldn`t have believed it either but check the feedback.

    I reckon it`ll make maybe £340-ish.
It has a Smiths speedo on it and working originals can go for £100+.

  4. Well I've lost! it's on £265 as of this morning.

  5. Seen better condition ones on the Thistlegorm ..... 28mtr under water

  6. Was that a Guzzi?

  7. The cargo was a mixture of BSA and Nortons. Could not tell you which this is.

  8. Staggering! I guess it may well be an M21 - it certaninly isn't anything desirable like a Gold Star or Rocket 3 !

Back in the 70s when I was looking for my first bike I went to see a CZ175, for sale cheap by a small dealer in East Malling I think - they specialised in Velocettes but had somehow acquired the specimen I was interested in (a mistake - fortunately I realised this and walked away). I was also offered an old M21 which I think they described as "rough, would make good field bike" - in much better condition than this ebay item, but even with 40 years less age it looked to me like scrap iron!

  9. Well that`s me out.
£410 with 6 days 10 hours to go, WTF!!!!!!!

  10. I've MOT'd worse....
Bit of Tcut it'll look showroom...
I wonder if the buyer is after the numberplate perhaps? A 'optimistic' MOT and a form or two from the DVLA?

  11. Rigid frame and sidevalve engine by the look of it. I'm guessing Norton ES2.

  12. The cargo was a mixture of BSA and Nortons. Could not tell you which this is.

  13. Yep, Norton 16H. I never was any good with brit bikes.

  14. Just looked again, the exhaust down pipe on the BSA M20 has a similar curve to it.
    Who knows???????

  15. And more to the point, who cares..?

  16. The ES2 was not a sidevalve, so no.

  17. I know, I meant 16H.

  18. Well, it's not like there was a lone lunatic bidding on it, over £700 with 26 bids :-o
