Well, following on from this disastrous thread: 1200 - Serious Concern - Chain Slap In 4th | Ducati Forum I have some news, Ducati have agreed to cover all expenses to resolve the issue. After investigation by W.M. Snells, it turns out a tooth from 4th gear had cleanly snapped off, thus damaging a few other gears. I'm hoping to get the bike back this weekend coming if the parts arrive. Either way, very pleased with W.M. Snells as it stands, great guys.
Wow.... that's pretty serious! Glad they found it and it's being sorted! That's an engine strip then I assume? that's not going to be cheap!
Actually best dealer in UK. MR could learn a thing or two about customer service from Snells. Its so good, I am almost embarrassed to get it as Ive never experienced customer service like it in the uk. I cant bang on enough how much I value their service.
Forgot to mention, they removed the oil pump and checked the pickup filter and all that jazz. They said they found nothing to indicate any parts floating around the engine so I assume they are happy nothing has escaped. Plus, they are going to keep the debris or at least keep pictures. I will post them once I get them. I'm sure it would be rather interesting. I'm really dissapointed with the bike if I'm honest though. And to make matters worse, the value has gone down for Multi's recently, so even if I sold it on (I intend to later this summer) it won't go for much anyway.
