Generally it isn't an issue, but the TT weekend is usually a time when Dutch plod are on high alert. So don't speed near Assen or any of the routes from the ferries towards Assen. Generally make sure you don't stand out and you should be fine. Last year and the year before, there were police checkpoints at the ferry ports. If you get pulled, expect a thorough inspection of your bike.
I guess so, depends how far away my hotel ends up being as I don't fancy paying for a taxi to cover 50km Saying that I could always ride in and not drink but where's the fun in that?
Happens every year, it's just a small town full to the rafters with bikers, well worth a visit. We'll be getting a cab from Groningen, they're not too pricey.
