Suggested Accessories For The New Hypermotard?

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by pisquano, Jun 18, 2014.

  1. can someone recommend good choices as I am about to pull the trigger?

    I was thinking about:

    1. side panniers (not convinced instead about the top case kit)
    2. lower seat
    3. carbon headlight fairing (is this not taking some visibility away?)
    4. anti-theft system (is this any good? issues with battery?)
in all honesty I am hoping to get at least one of these thrown in for free from the dealer.

    thank you!

  2. I don't want to take new exhaust or anything like that, or insurance will kick me in the face

  3. I just added tail tidy, radiator and lower protector... I fancy the carbon screen...

  4. yes. it looks really good

  5. 1. suspension set up

  6. any thoughts about side panniers vs top case kit?

  7. what hyper is it - old or new....

  8. the new one thanks

  9. Ah - ok - would have it better to have gone for a hyperstrada? it sounds like you prefer the touring option...

  10. well, I mainly ride in central London, but I don't mind having the option to carry a few things around when needed. I definitely will not do long rides

  11. I wouldn't bother with panniers then.... Definitely a pack pack.... I use a north Face satchel...

    1. top-case spoils the look - go Kriega
    2. how tall are you? need 34" inseam to flat-foot her
    3. sounds lame
    4. dunno
    • change progressive rear spring (too hard), cartridge kit for front
    • get dealer to give you a Bell RS1 w/ photochromic visor

  12. 4. I would say a roadlok.... Got one on mine and my rsv4.

  13.
  14. Someone was selling a dp alarm in the for sale bit for the new hyper

  15. thanks. I have seen it but the chaps is selling it as the same exact price as new.... I don't think so...

  16. Just ordered the carbon headlight fairing and accept I'm lame. But re the visibility, don't think it goes high enough to be an issue.

  17. Lol i didnt realise it was the same price as new!

  18. Well, the bike comes equipped with an immobilizer so I think youre worst problem is someone picking it up - if you didn't look up the roadlok all you need to carry around with you is a small pin to lock the bike as the lock bolts to the front caliper....the only problem is, theyre expensive, really expensive and since the uk side lost the contract to supply them, even more expensive as you have to get them from the U.S. My rsv4 one cost 215.00 the Ducati one (identical) cost 300.00 as I had to order from the states.
