I hope he's aware enough of his surroundings to enjoy the rest of his life. He's very lucky to still be alive at all.
Well that implies that he will have any idea of the life before the accident.... It's very possible that the extent of his memory loss and his frailty means that he needs to be kept from hearing of the magnitude of his fame to avoid shock. I just hope he is able to feel the same love and feelings for his family and the rest is all meaningless. Ps his wife by all accounts has been an incredible person!
Well I hope he pulls thru enough to both remember what it was like before, imagine not having any memory of your family, successes, experiences?! And to enjoy his life from here. People like him will always do 100% more than the 99% who are not like him to get the most he can from rehab and back to as good health as possible. He wont be shy of the best quality help either
Sod the fame, I hope he remembers his wife; she's going to have a hell of a time as it is without having to run after what would effectively be a total stranger.
Thats my point. Like alziemers but knowing you cant remember but wanting to. I know its a soap dish but Coronation St have been doing a story for some time on the changes to a guy after coming out of a coma. Take the piss as much as you like but these soap thingies often bring a lot of awareness to issues which kost either dont know about or want to know about. And what if he doesnt like her now?! Its been known.
Communicating is a very broad term. I fear he will be more like Michael Watson rather than Richard Hammond
And Hammond admits now that for months and months after he wasn't right; he had memory issues and such for ages.
