996 Hub Trashed By Cush Drive

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Wellesley, Jun 17, 2014.

  1. I bought a sprocket carrier recently for my project .
Best price I found was the M&P one on eBay.
I have an unused sprocket available to suit if anyone is interested, can't recall the number of teeth, will look when back from hols.

  2. I looked at the M&P 'spider' carrier but it was difficult to tell whether the spider sprockets they list for Ducati 996 would fit that carrier or the OEM carrier.

  3. VtwinDave-Was out on my 748 on Saturday and when I got back I noticed mine had aluminium filings also , one of the Cush drives have also come loose

Buy one of these renthal kits it will save you a lot of cash to stop your hub getting fooked by cush drives especially if there are no spares on fleabay. As said above hub from ducati will set you back over £300.

  4. The renthal sprocket fits the M&P carrier.

  5. I was thinking of changing the chain and sprockets a few weeks ago now it's got to be done , yeah I'll look at that renthal kit alright :upyeah: Also from that spin on Saturday I noticed my fork seals are gone:(

  6. Does this sprocket carrier have a lip behind the cush drive holes to stop them backing out again

  7. "I haven't got time to split it though so selling as a job lot"

    3 bolts.........

  8. or lack of maintenance shit...............

  9. I've got a SSSA with the hub in it you can have for £50.......

  10. Yes mate.

  11. Do you have a 1/2 decent pov spec shock attached?

That' s a good price for the swinger. I'd have had it a few weeks back. :(

  12. Nice one , I'll order one of them so :upyeah:

  13. nah....ive moved on to ttx....

  14. 'Tis indeed a fair price, if I hadn't already got a spare hub I'd be interested myself. Provided the hub is good then the OP should get this, I doubt he'll get a cheaper one elsewhere. :upyeah:

  15. b and c express for rental carrier and sprocket range...........and a new chain too as that looks neglected.....;-)

  16. i see you are in Leicester........im near silverstone......so 30 miles...

  17. Yeah like i said I haven't got time as flying out to France on Sunday so very busy and packed all my tools away in storage.Im also out training all the time at the mo.

To the OP id deffo go with AndyB offer as £50 for swingarm and hub is a very low price and great bargain.

Nelson if you still want the rear showa shock its yours for a reasonable price if you can get to my old mans house in the midlands with tools to remove it from rest of the kit.Or take the lot for £200 and sell what you don't require on fleabay. If you want the lot I can also arrange for old man to box it and post it to you as ill be away.Same goes for vtwindave if your hub has took a battering.Hopefuly you caught it in time.
