^ that is awesome isn't it! How amazing is that. I wonder if he keeps them running/rides them and who maintains them!? Respect to that man!
It's unbelievable, however..... I would just want 2 of each, one that I could ride (for example as a demonstration at Goodwood) and one to look at for each model. Having said that it's better than a pension!
Seriously, did you all know Tony had this collection? The value does seem high though. I think he works for Kellogg's
I'm just guessing here, but a guy that used to own an F1 team, also collects F1 cars as a hobby besides collecting Ducati's and also owns a Jaguar (aircraft not car) as well as a Harrier jump jet.....................................may well not work for anyone as such. I'm sort of thinking he might well own and run any business he might be involved in
Haulage company owner IIRC, I'm sure he used to let people look round the collection at one time but got fed up of too many grubby little hands touching stuff so keeps it all private now.
I've met him at Brands at a WSBK meeting. He was a sort of unofficial member of the team, travelling around the world with them. I think he made his money in the building business, or property. I think he's based offshore for some strange reason. My mate was supposed to be lining up a visit to his place for me but it never happened.
