  1. Thought you folks would appreciate this.....

I am sure with less weight and real knobblies this bike will outperform any GS1200! KTM....maybe not :)

  5. Touratech had a mts1200 on their stand at Excell earlier in the year, it looked quite capable off-roader with it's knoblies etc

  6. It's now sat in their showroom - or at least it was early May bank holiday when I went up for their weekend event. Had plenty of shiny stuff on it and ended up buying a couple of bits while I was up there, the kick stand foot plate was much needed - have come a cropper previously at some bike events that only have on grass parking and forgot my stand puck.
It was for sale with or without all their bits on it, shame they didn't have half the parts on it actually in store to buy though - the MS section is tiny compared to the BMW and KTM kit list though.
I also bought some Rukka gloves same day, but they are going back as they have worn through the fingers already! Really shoddy quality for the price of the stuff. Less than 2 months of use is piss poor IMO.

  7. Ducati Multistrada 1200 Toubkal by Holland’s Affett

Tastefully done with metallic red, black, and silver paint, the Toubkal looks like something that could have come from Borgo Panigale, had the Italians dared to build a bike with such flash.....

  8. Paolo Pirozzi's RTW Ducati Multistrada qualifies as a Dirt Ducati in my opinion.

  9. Those Kineo wheels are very tasty. Not sure if I'd take them over a set of OZs though.

  10. Met a very nice guy from Yorkshire on a Multistrada 1200 with Touratech panniers & logos yesterday.
I'd stopped at Tamworth services (M42) to refuel the car & saw the bike complete with knobblies, outside the fuel station. He reckoned it weaves a bit over 100mph!

  11. When Touratech were at Excell I went to buy a Satnav mount, but then went across to the Avemture Bike Shop who's identical bracket was £15 cheaper, won't be using Touratech in the near future too dear

  12. And that's as far as I'll take mine off road......it might get dirty!

  13. they are really pretty easy to wash... don't be afraid....

  14. TBR,

You must have the amphibian version! Hey, I like the pack you have on the pillion seat. What brand is that?

  15. The one in the pics shows the AA BAG (18l) from Welcome to Andy Strapz
Bag fits perfect with the two straps going under the pillion seat.
Big fan of Andy's gear / straps from Oz and another favourite is Kriega.

  16. Thanks mate, I'll look into those. Yeah, I like the Kriega stuff too....regularly use a US20 and found it great, even in torrential rain.

  17. Any idea of who, when and where Pete?.....great photo :D

  18. Not a lot of protection on that bike either! Large hard panniers are fitted for a reason..

  19. Not that reason. The component the panniers are plugged into is weak and fragile. It a bike goes down hard with panniers on (or even not all that hard), it will break. It needs crash bars to protect them.
