Booked my tickets yesterday in the ducati grandstand (Luffield stand). Really looking forward to it, anyone else here going?
with one big event a year they rape our wallets with camping and entry tickets for 2 days it just not value for money anymore ,tv gives you a better view of the race without the atmosphere ,,i'm passing as no englishmen is anywhere near competative in all three classes this year ..iwill stick to world supers
Its been great every time even with shit weather. Hopefully head down Thurs this year instead of the mad rush Fri afternoon
Hmmm. lost some text... Anyway I was saying camping usually covers Thursday night till Monday morn if you wanna take in practice (and get sloshed race day!) Pretty sure the roving grandstand tickets cover practice too.. Did the ducati stand in 2012 and although good, not worth the extra imho. roving tickets are cheaper and there's only a few areas you cant access (I like the view from club). If you've not been before take a lil radio with head phones for commentary (also a good reason to blank the Mrs).
Im sure you'll love it. Sure its over priced for food n booze (like every event) but if you go prepared its cool. There's no prob taking your own beer and if you like to bogie the band n dj is on till bout 2 or 3 in the big tent in the lively camp area.
Luffield B for us. We usually get roving grandstand, but this year i was told it was numbered seating only not roving, so now i can go for a wonder and not lose my seat
Yes I see.. Just had a look. I better get ordering soon it think. I kinda preferred the old (or other) lay out with the start/fin on the international straight and thought they where going back to that this year.. That's put a spanner in things. The duc stand has moved as well eh? (and its sold out)
Yep im going but just for Race day and in the Luffield stand too. Hopefully the weather will be good as well as the racing. Wasn't there some sort of Welcome pack for booking early? Cant remember
I'm there, if its anything like last year I'll be on the viewing balcony over the new pits. I'm spannering for a mate who's doing the support races so we get the new pits to live in. Thing is they race from the old start line so if its like last year I'll be outside the moto GP garages when they're playing around at the end of the day.
I haven't been to Silverstone since 2006, apart from the circuit layout have the facilities around the track improved?
I'm going. Staying in a hotel in Milton Keynes and driving in each day. No kids, Friday through Sunday tickets. Money already saved to spend on dinners, burgers and wine. Very, very excited. Woodcote A for us. Near a big tv on the final corner. Allocated seats and a roof above.
Yep going with brother in law and my mate. Driving down on the Saturday nite for Sunday race. Sitting in Village A
Lol.. Monday morning clear out... Wish I could have sold that shite instead of carting it all back. Was a good set up though.
