  1. First up this stuff is shit. Sorry but it never stopped the puncture and has made a big mess of my exhausts. I've used WD40, vinegar, water and it won't come off. Even warmed up the pipes to try and peel it off and still won't come off.
Has anyone got idea more ideas? :-(

  2. What about oven cleaner?

  3. Just tried that mate. I didn't leave it on for 20 minutes granted as I don't want to wreck the exhaust or make it look worse. Thank you for the reply tho it

  4. White spirit n non scratch pan scourer

  5. I did use a non scratch pan thingy but not with white spirt - have you user's it before?

  6. Just done some Google searching : autosol, wire wool and a micro fibre cloth..... Anyone used this method before?

  7. Whip the pipes off and give em a polish?

  8. I struggle to change a light blub mate - taking the pipes off sounds like a world of pain. Changing the battery was hard enough for me!

    • 500 wet/dry and use it wet...
Cellulose thinners might soften it first

  10. They're still cleaner than my pipes :upyeah:

  11. Gleam mate great product with a used Brillo pad

  12. Shiney hell! They look mint! Where can I buy 'gleam' from and will it cut though his crap on my pipes? And I've googled this 500 wet/dry but can't find anything on it....

  13. Any auto part shop should do it takes a bit of elbow grease but does a good job

  14. If polished pipes do it for you........just wait until Arthur arrives ;)

I've done similar and now carry a proper kit with plugs & gas cartridges. It made a proper mess and I took everything off to clean it all. Sorry cannot remember what I used to get rid of the mess but it wasn't anything that special.

What about getting the pipes coated as an alternate to polish

Camcoat are the people...............The pipes are easily removed except at the headers where they are a proper "front bottom" to get at the nuts

  15. Cam coating the pipes in black is something I've thought about - I think it looks real nice! Not really wanting the shiney look, just the crap off them from this so called puncture repair foam. Worst product ever!

  16. Ermm why are you supporting your bike on the abba stand through the footpeg mounts? See that big hole just to the left, take off the fairing plug out of the swing arm pivot and use those instead.

  17. 10/10 for observation there Matt

That pic was taken just after the swing arm had been PC'd black and the back of the bike was being re-assembled.

I needed to support it on the footrest mounts as I needed access to the swing arm pivot to get the arm off and back on.

Normally in the summer the bike sits on a paddock stand and in the winter on a Bursig. The Bursig is great but the one thing you can't use it for is taking out the swing arm, so for that I still have the Abba. Got the Abba before they brought out the one that can lift the front wheel, otherwise the Bursig wouldn't have been purchased

    Apologies for going off topic

    John
